This weekend, Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust is launching a cigar made exclusively for retailers in its home state of New Hampshire.
The CANH Fiddlehead is a 6 x 48 vitola featuring an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, a Jalapa, Nicaragua binder, and a three-country filler blend. The filler includes Criollo 92 from the Dominican Republic, visos from Condega, Jalapa, and Ometepe in Nicaragua, and Connecticut broadleaf. The cigar is produced at the Nicaragua American Cigars S.A. (NACSA) factory.
The cigars feature a unique “fiddlehead colita,” a coiled cap inspired by the unfurled fronds of wild ferns, which share the same name and are considered a local delicacy.
Each CANH Fiddlehead is priced at an MSRP of $18.99 and comes in 10-count boxes. For its initial release, just over 700 boxes have been produced.
This cigar is an exclusive offering for retail members of the Cigar Association of New Hampshire (CANH). In a Facebook post, Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust’s founder, Steve Saka, stated that “a significant portion of the proceeds” from both the company and participating retailers will be donated to CANH.
The CANH Fiddlehead is set to go on sale on Saturday, March 8.
