Support on the Streets
Serving the homeless outdoors — where many of them are — is a way to help feed those in need during times when they cannot get a hot meal at a soup kitchen or long-term shelter. There are times when Da Smoke Brovas come together in partnership with local organizations to serve the needs of the community.
Volunteering is one way to turn something you have — time — into a means to help feed the homeless. Organizations that offer free meals for the underprivileged and homeless exist in most urban and some suburban or rural areas; ask local social service organizations for a list of meal programs in your area if you’re unable to find them on your own.
An estimated 55-80 homeless persons were fed and clothed yesterday. We have also partnered with the City of Annapolis and One Youth Foundation to do future events.
